Estonian national report published

Discovering the Archaeologists of Estonia 2012-14 has been published. It is available here in Estonian and in English.

The issues of employment, training, professional skills and mobility of archaeologists had not been subject to previous research in Estonia. Therefore the results presented here are the outcomes of a good opportunity for Estonia to map the employment situation of archaeologists of the country and to identify potential problems.

Archaeology in Estonia is a largely young, largely female profession. Estonian archaeologists are typically very well qualified, but poorly paid.
